The three pillars of<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>H.E.A.R.T \u2122,<\/span>\u00a0Orientation,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Choice and gradual progression\u00a0<\/span>do not act in isolation, but are interdependent. Only in their interplay \u2013 and through the competence of humans to embody them \u2013 does an environment emerge in which regulation becomes possible.\u00a0<\/span>H.E.A.R.T \u2122 builds directly on the work of Stephen Porges. His Polyvagal Theory describes safety as being experienced not just as the absence of danger, but as social connection.
<\/span>The three principles of\u00a0<\/span>H.E.A.R.T \u2122 <\/span>unfolding in interaction with the horse<\/span>effectiveness<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>through human perception, the ability to self-regulate, and the resulting presence.<\/span><\/p>

H.E.A.R.T \u2122 sees itself as a trauma-sensitive and lively interplay, where it's not about one acting and the other reacting.
